Zepbound (Mounjaro) for weight loss

I’d like to know if anyone has used this. My doc prescribed it, and it should get through insurance in the coming days since it is covered.

Zepbound is the same drug as Mounjaro, so experiences on that injection are also welcomed.

I have read that it is more effective than Wegovy for losing weight.

I believe this is Mounjaro, but labeled for weight loss and not diabetes. It is not approved in Canada yet. I have heard positive comments from those on Mounjaro, both those using it for diabetes and those who have it off-label for weight loss.

I modified the subject line to include Mounjaro since they are essentially the same med to increase the odds of your getting responses.

I’ve been on Mounjaro for months now and take it for diabetes and weight loss.
Honestly I have nothing bad to say about this drug

It’s more potent than Ozempic (Wegovy)

I’ve been on both at different times.

Expect your lipid count to normalize as well.

It’s a powerhouse drug that when paired with a healthier diet and some exercise one can lose significant amounts of weight

Good luck @cathart1c!

I’ve lost a few pounds on it. No side effects. The injection doesn’t hurt at all.

It is the same thing, I think so too. It’s funny how all that works with the labels and how insurance will not cover one vs covering the same thing for weight loss. I can say that insurance has been a pain in the butt throughout this process.

Thank you!

That is great news. I have started getting more exercise and working on my diet already. That not amounting to much progress in weight loss is one of the reasons I got it prescribed before (insurance problems that time).

It will be interesting to see how the lifestyle changes plus Zepbound will work.

I know my lipids were high before. I might actually get psyched for bloodwork for once now to look for progress

Great! I was a bit curious about the injection itself, good to know.
