As many of us know, there’s a world-wide shortage of Ozempic. My own pharmacy doesn’t know when they’ll get more in. Good news: there are plenty of videos on how to make lifestyle changes so I don’t gain the weight back.
I’ve been watching YouTube videos about how to live without Ozempic (I have 0.5 mg of it left and will take it tomorrow, then, after that, I don’t know when they’ll get more in). I’d like to be able to live without it. I’ve lost 33 lbs since 2018, because I ate a bit better, but mostly because of the drugs (Ozempic and Jardiance). The most I lost is 47 lbs in 2021 (got down to 188 lbs). But the following two years were super tough for me, so I ate too much.
I’m a yo-yo dieter, but I’m hoping to focus on lifestyle in the coming months. I don’t feel bad anymore though. My doctor told me that only 20% of people, who lost a lot of weight, will keep it off. Most people fail at it. A whooping 80% or possibly more. I’m hoping to defy the odds this time. I’m going to give it my all.
I can’t imagine how much I’d lose on Ozempic as it’s stronger than Saxenda. I ordered 2 XL pizzas last night as my daughter came home for the weekend. Wife had 3 pieces. I think the kid had 8. I struggled to finish 1 piece and didn’t snack on anything else for the rest of the evening. I’m pretty sure Ozempic would leave me unable to eat at all.
33 lbs gone since September 27, 2023. It’s December 02, 2023, as I post this.
