So where is all the miracle drug weight loss?

Is it under this rock? No, nothing there. Behind that tree? Nope.

I can’t seem to find the Ozempic weight loss anywhere. I’ve been on it the majority of 2 months and I am currently down 1 pound from my high.

Just not seeing the excitement about this medication as a weight loss miracle.

Maybe I should check around the corner of the house.

Better than up!

I have heard a lot of hype about Ozempic, but know very little. I heard that once you start you can’t stop??? Is that true?

Probably more like once you stop you immediately put the weight back on, therefore you can’t stop. ( A bit like keto)

Changing eating habits is the real goal. And that needs to be forever!

I think what they mean by that is that, if you stop you will likely gain back the weight you lost on it without lifestlye changes. so you would have to be on it forever to maintain weight.

My doc said nothing about not being able to stop.

Edit: I see labratmatt already put forth this explanation.

I remember like over 10 years ago there were all these ads of weight loss pills.

I don’t hear about those anymore…

@Bowens are you also diabetic or, for you, is it just for weight loss?

I hear about the odd death caused by these pills, heart attack and speeded up metabolism pills, but they are all banned now I think.

NO, I am diabetic. The weigh loss would be nice, but it is not the main reason I am on it.

I am assuming that blood sugar is better though!

ehh. I dont know about that. I am on insulin, glipizide, metformin and Ozempic. I discontinued Jardiance to take Ozempic. I dont know if its doing any better than Jardiance.

I DO KNOW however that I want to break out in song and dance now since I’ve mentioned Jardiance. Is that commercial catchy or what?

Dunno, don’t own a TV.

I’ve seen this commercial. Hubby and I comment how awfully happy she seems for having high blood sugar.

Lol. Maybe thats how they expect you to lose weight on these drugs. You are supposed dance it off like in the commercials.

She’s dancing and still seems overweight though. Maybe she was 400 lbs before the dancing though.
