Use Brave Web browser. No ads on Youtube with it. It blocks ads like crazy.

Yeah im slowly diverting back to using brave to my tv.
I just made a bunch of big tiles on windows start for clicking into apps and stuff

I use a program called freetube that auto blocks ads and works as its own player. It connects to YouTube privately without revealing your information or search history. It can remove channels from your search feed (manual blacklisting, to hide from view), and it can also use 3rd party services to skip the intro and in video sponsorship ads.
Only problem is that google tends to block the ad blockers in a game of cat and mouse. Thus if your ad blocker kitty is losing, then it cannot connect to get the videos, at least until a new exploit is found to catch the mouse.
At least that is my general understanding of it.
