What med are you taking that’s effective?
I’m on sertraline at a pretty high dose of 225mg and I feel nothing
im doing research on OCD.i need tips and i found out that everyone is diffrent when it comes to the 5 second rule…turns out some people need more than 5 seconds. to over OCD.
I take Clomipramine for my depression and OCD, it’s supposed to be the best for OCD.
Sertraline didn’t do much for me, but citalipram is more noticeable in affects.
I take citalipram at night and it calms me down the following day. It’s a very good drug imo
Agreed. Citalopram helps me too
I found all the ssri’s made me hyper focus and obsessive and truthfully I felt the need to say stuff to myself obsessively to calm my anxiety also I find that my fear of becoming sick and giving it to others have calmed down with lamictal
I also read lamictal is used too treat anxiety more specifically OCD that’s treatment resistant
Idk I was told before that I had OCD that was when I was a child tho
Never did good on SSRI’s
The best med for my ocd was the antipsychotic med abilify which I’m on now
Of course, everyone responds differently to different meds though
Quiting cigarettes made my ocd berable.
I take Paxil. I just started 9 days ago. My OCD and PTSD are notably better BUT I am tired. It makes me lethargic. I read that the lethargy will likely go away after a month or so. I hope so.
Inositol is often helpful with ocd. It’s a supplement. I have been taking it for a couple of years now, and it has really helped calm down repetitive and “forced” thoughts.
