Yoga helpful with anxiety and mood?

My new fitness club has yoga classes. I read that yoga can lessen depression and anxiety and increase gaba levels in the brain. I am thinking of starting up yoga classes besides my new exercising.

Did anybody try yoga? Did it help you?

I am trying few yoga posture and deep breathing excersize …it been 17 days it makes me feel refreshed…U can try deep breathing technique…plz cosider it… it can be big game changer… take care homie…

Hey farcry, I’m from Kenya originally but I live in NYC. I follow the teachings of Buddhism and Yoga so I’ve watched a lot of videos on teachers like Baba Ramdev, Sadhguru, Osho, Acharya Shree Yogeesh and others.

As far as my negative symptoms go, I don’t go outside much at the moment. I’ve noticed my cognitive abilities have gone down, I’m going to get some ProFrontal soon to help with that. My avolition right now is pretty bad, I don’t do much.

That’s good that your avoltion is improving, all we can do is stay hopeful and keep trying to improve.

I do yoga every night before bed. It calms and relaxes me so I can sleep. It also keeps my weight down. It also eases my arthritis. Keeps my joints flexible. Which is important at my age-57. I highly recommend yoga to everybody.
