Yes, Rod Stewart songs are the most over-played songs on the radio, but

they’re getting a new audience, the young people.

plus the guy has like 10 kids, so he needs the money.

I feel the same way about Bon Jovi…a talented group but way overplayed. I’m totally sick of them.

i feel that the classic rock guys got more than their 15 minutes of fame, new acts got to keep cranking out hits to stay relevent.

my mom was listening to rod stewart just yesterday.

he’s a pretty awesome guy, Jon Bon Jovi, he really helps out his hometown, and all over New Jersey.

okay. what are you trying to say, yeah, I guess older people still like all his music.

just don’t subject me to it for 50 years on fm radio is all im saying.

huh? I’m just shootin’ the sh-it.

@Daze i wrote a song about local fm radio in cincinnati, here is the chorus, the song is called “50 years in cincinnati”

sure you aint playing nyc
but it’s a living
and you still got to eat
50 years in cincinnati,
even if it’s not
the beat
on the street!

i don’t know what you mean. my take is fm radio in cincinnati is unconstitutional because it cruel and unusual punishment. i know every word to every song being played. i used to enjoy it when i was younger, but now it makes me cringe hearing the same songs over and over again with no fresh innovations. the only station that plays new music is the country station and that is mostly crap as well. my favorite station the university radio station sold and now i have no reason to listen to the radio anymore, they were the only station playing new acts. to be fair my favorite rod stewart song is ‘maggie may’ or whatever it’s called.

okay, thanks for clarifying that.

I typically listen to alternative hard rock now,
they keep it fresh, mostly, and of course

the public radio station here plays light alternative at night,
at least I think so, I haven’t tuned in in awhile.

do you think radio is gonna die?
