Writers block

Definitely hit a writers block. Need to take a week off from writing. Then go back to it. What should I do in the meantime hmmmm. I have no tv no internet on my laptop. Maybe I can read some books!

Find the same time of day to sit down and write.

Don’t look for a perfect setting, scenario or piece.

Post and comment often online in many communities.

Day dream.

Think in terms of process, and not the best you’ve ever done.

Be loose and carefree, and don’t read closely, allow mistakes and misreads.

@chew How’s school going? Do you have a lot of assignments to focus on? Maybe concentrate on school, take a break from writing for a week, and then go back to writing see if your writers block has resolved.

ya i have some assignments i gotta focus on but with my other time i think im gonna read a book. ive literally been making music 100% of the time i wasnt working on assignments or eating or going on walks. it takes a lot of effort to make music.

How do you like school so far? Are you making new friends and socializing a bit?

I have a special spot in my office set up for writing. I love it. My Keurig and Sodastream are next to it and there is a place for my cat to sleep. Having a place specifically for writing really helps the words flow.

Go frolic in the woods wearing wooly pants with no shirt playing the pan pipe…that should call down the writing gods…
