Lady neighbor knows how to drive me crazy. Same with the loser upstairs. The staff said DO NOT take matters into your own hands, just stay away from each other and call if you have a problem. It’s stupid to complain about someone messing with your head when there are REAL problems in the world, right?

I know it’s easy to say and hard to do but take the high road matey. Disable them with your comedy and not your anger and realize that you may not have this situation for ever!

I tell you, my brother the other day just brushed me off he said something along the lines of “well I worked today” and I cursed up a storm when he left the room, and then told my mom “you know I wish I could work, when I could work I did, and I still got ■■■■ for not working full time.” I just wish that people would keep in mind, that me not working isn’t a choice. When I’m stuck in bed till 2-3pm its not because I wanted to. Its just my brain not being right. I can’t help it. I swear its eye opening to just see how oblivious people are, and then they expect you to give them respect back, like they haven’t glibbly pooped on you blithely through the work week.

An hour later I’d calmed down, and just moved past it. I don’t keep the anger in. I just let it out when it happens and then I’m done. I just don’t have the option to keep negative. There’s no way forward otherwise.

@77nick77. Unfortunately, if you’re living in an apartment, especially one with neighbors above you, you’re going to have to learn to deal with noise, smells, etc. from the neighbors. It’s one of the inconveniences with living in an apartment building with lots of other people.

The only alternative might be if you can find one of those in-law studio apartment units that are attached to a private home. Maybe you can inquire about that with your local housing authority?
