My voices are back after 8 months of having them and still on the same medication but added another one. They are very troublesome. I can hear 50% of what they are saying. I go back to college in around 2 weeks and I don’t think I can do it. They are so mean and I can’t do homework with them or focus in class. They are telling me they are going to make me fail my classes. My mom keeps telling me I can do it and basically just saying to tough it out until we can figure out the meds. But how long will that take? Would you go back to school with voices or take a semester off to figure out the meds that will keep them out?

My parents parents advise not to go so I will anyways. … I feel ok to go, maybe a little on edge about every thing going on inside my head… But im old and need my High school diplommmma (embarrassing I know) anyways I think you should try to receive help for your voices because they wont stop unless you get help. So try to talk to a p doc.

If I had motivation and better hygiene, yes, in a heartbeat. I dropped out and regretted it for years. For me, it was best. Unfortunately…
I’m going to a different school, local, cheaper, and with a new major someday.
I will start slow at community college and then transfer.
My advice is stick with it and remember c’s get degrees. You are a smart guy. Look into accommodations. If you take a break, you may never go back.

Would it be possible to get some sort of adjustment at school, for example, longer deadlines to finish assignments?
I’d still go for it but be sure to take extra care of yourself.

I would get the hallucinations under control or you will probably just be wasting your money unfortunately.

Im never going back to college but education is important to me. I hope to educate myself in cheaper self taught ways in the future.
The resources are out there for free for creative pursuits.

I would go back to school with voices… It can help you more on the other stuff also, more integration etc… I couldn’t do my master degree because of my illness and now, I am not so educated, which is a problem. Don’t think, that you can be strange outside, but its better to do it. If you can do smth, go for it now. It will be easier after that. I wish you to succeed!!!
