Around New Years in 2014 I was involuntary hospitalised for Mania. Now I don’t think I have anything mentally wrong with me But I got sectioned again recently and asked a member of staff I know well if he’s ever seen me unwell and he told me about this time in hospital (2014) where I sang constantly for 12 hour straight while extremely elated. I remember it fondly and it was the best time of my life. I always think about it especially when feeling down… Do you think this was mania? I still think I’m not unwell but this can’t be normal?

Yeah that’s mania. Mania can feel great when you are happy, but it isn’t sustainable, and it usually comes with a hard crash if they can’t balance you out.
