Some teen at the supermarket stopped me and my father and kept asking if we’re both World War 2 Veterans!

I know I look old for my age but that was too much!

But in all honesty I was wearing a mask

so sorry…I thank my lucky stars that I have kept my younger looks at 61. look about 40…don’t mean to rub it in…just feel lucky.

Here’s a fun one.

Went to go visit my neighbor in the hospital after he was in a car accident.

During conversation he asked how old I was,

I said 38,

He said, “Wow! I would have guessed at least 50!”.

So,

People are idiots.

I wouldn’t take those comments to heart.

Well I remember that in the 1960s and 70s being in your 40s for a man was very old.

Lots of people, especially men died in their 50s

Today many people are living well into their 90s!

I look young for my age but I feel old inside.

My grandpa was a ww2 veteran. His father had been a ww1 mia. Dad worked in the military too.

In contrast, I am an absolute pacifist.

It’s a pacifist who wins heroism against the many doubters.

Your father and grandfather I’m sure contained pacifist nuances and more, thus it arising in you!!

Yea dad is all for peace too, but abides by the old saying “if one wants to keep the peace, one should be ready for war”.

The World War II veterans are dying off. They’re considered the greatest generation because they went through the Depression and fought World War II.
