Withdrawals

Hey guys, idk if anyone knows but i was taking a low dose of Amisulpride (200mg) and 2 weeks ago i decided to try and reduce my dose to (100mg) its pretty hard and i’m getting withdrawals, its hard to explain the changes but some have been good and some bad,

I decided to do it at this time bc i thought it would be easier bc of reduced activity during lockdown and after been stable and symptom free for a long time i thought i’d try,

I made sure i told my dr and he is ok with it.

I’m also on 200mg amisulpride and I found in past that anything lower than that caused a relapse. I found my withdrawal symptoms were anxiety and tenseness in my jaw muscles. My pdoc prescribed me 400mg amisulpride amongst other meds but when I’m doing well I reduce it to 200mg. This keeps me relatively stable and if I’m stressed or have relapse I increase it to 300mg or 400mg.

I’ve been on 200mgs for a few years with no symptoms, do you get any symptoms?

I reduced it a few years ago and tried to stop but the withdrawals hit me hard after 3 days stopped and i had paranoia for the first time in ages, so i had to put my dose up again, the thing about it is that i wonder if i could have gotten through that period of withdrawals, i wonder if my symptoms would have improved,

it could have just been a momentary thing, but you know the minute there is any hint of unwellness everybody jumps up and says take your meds again and if i didnt they would be angry with me about that.

I do get symptoms sometimes but less if I was not taking anything at all. Mostly I get depression, avolition and inserted thoughts but also on occasion voices and paranoia. And my delusions are constantly there but in background.

My withdrawal symptoms/relapse also takes 3 days to come after I stop amisulpride.
