I normally take my coffee without sugar but this morning I added a teaspoon of sugar to my cup and it tasted so much better.
It was a lot less bitter.
I don’t know if I’ll turn this into a habit since I’m diabetic.
How do you take your coffee?

If you can avoid sugar in any way, I would. I mean, pretty much everything tastes better with sugar, but it’s a bad habit to get into.

I may check out stevia to sweeten my coffee because frankly I’m starting to hate the way unsweetened coffee tastes.

Have you considered some alternatives?
Stevia is one but I’ve never tried it yet.
I’ve been using Swerve and it apparently doesn’t contribute to cavities or spike blood sugar. I think it doesn’t anyway.
It doesn’t taste quite like sugar but it does help bring flavors out.
I use it in hot chocolate and it’s just right for me. Got approval from my brother too who doesn’t like alternatives.

I get a creamer that is slightly sweet and it’s good. We buy nice coffee that is really smooth. Douwe Egbert.

I like my coffee both ways either black or with cream and sugar. I drink it black just to avoid the extra calories most of the time.

I drink mine with pea milk, it’s got its own sugar in it, but not an overpowering amount. Very balanced.

I don’t use sugar but I do use sweeteners in both my tea and cereal. I don’t drink coffee anymore.
