Easier said than done. John Nash was one of the few schizophrenics who actually obtained a master’s degree, I think.
University in the US is really expensive right? In my country it costs about 1 grand a year
University tuition is very expensive in North America but it depends on which University where the graduate degree is issued. For example, an Ivy League university such as Harvard would have a high tuition cost but also the grades of the student, the prominence of the parents of student (if any) would be taken into account.
I hope to eventually get a PhD.
College is stupid and a waste of time unless you do STEM or go to an ivy league school. Not everyone can do it and has the intelligence. I tried math and got schizophrenia and dropped out 8 years ago.
Not all colleges are expensive. That’s a misconception. I found a college that pays you if you are poor like me.
I would definitely consider that 35% increase in pay worthwhile if I was young, and didn’t have sza to deal with.
I have a Bachelors degree and I earn good money and wouldn’t have my job without it.
I don’t see the point in getting a masters now although I was considering it a few months ago.
I think academic qualifications help you get a job, but once you have 5+ years experience it really doesn’t add any value in my view.
I am lucky that my local university is in the top 20 in the UK, and they take in people like me with no high school qualifications and a basic study skills college certificate that took a year part time- an Access to Higher Education diploma.
If I had the money, I want to pursue a master’s degree in special education.
Or take MA comparative literature.
Omg I would so not be able to do a masters degree right now.
I’d love to do one in English if I could
I have a BSc in computer engineering. Spending an extra 18-24 months in school would not have helped me on a labor market that tends to value practical knowledge and work experience over formal education.
I’m an English major.
I really loved the program- I would love to do it again.
