I know a girl who got a psychology degree from Oklahoma State University, and when she went to work she came early and stayed late, and she worked her up the ladder until she became a top bank executive. The last I heard she was being put in charge of a whole region of the United States.
I wanted to be a pilot. The military said I had to have a college degree so I got mine in General Studies. I started out in Professional Aviation and Business but professional aviation was expensive and the Navy was going to teach me to fly anyway and I couldn’t pass accounting. So I graduated in 3 and a half years and went in the Marines.
I made good money in my 20 year career. Even though I was in the military and was below the poverty line for many years I eventually earned a lot and my social security is almost maxed out. My first year in the Navy I only made like $18 a day. And I worked my ass off.
