Got a bad apple of a roommate. He moved in Oct 1 and so far he has gotten literal feces all over my toilet, walls, floor, even down the vent, trailing to his bedroom, and he’s very overweight and very disabled but refuses to do anything about the poop, even what he can do or even apologize. I kept asking him to clean it and he just keeps lashing out at me. He threatened to steal my animals. Now I don’t talk to him and have given him 30 days to move out, but before the notice to move out he started intentionally getting poop everywhere (his health aid said it looked very intentional), thrown food all over my stove, threw away my expensive razor, and stashed all my mail and dumped it all over the floor yesterday. It’s like this dude wants me to clean up after him and he feels dangerous and devious to me and his health aid.
Need to add his smell is so overwhelming me and his health aid have vomited over the smell
Staff won’t do anything about it?
Thank God he’s leaving in 30 days. Well, hopefully anyway. What is the law like for tenants where you are?
Did you interview this guy before he moved in? It doesn’t always work; my roommate turned out to be completely different from when I first interviewed him. But it can help to interview someone.
That’s terrible. I hope you get this resolved quickly.
Holy moly. This is one heck of a bad roommate. Sorry you’re going through that Froge. That’s disgusting.
When I lived In a half way house I had the exact thing happen to me. This guy was causing trouble and got evicted during COVID. He was allowed to stay for months doing exactly what your guys is doing. He even burned like 1000 holes in the carpet with cigarettes on purpose.
They couldn’t do anything about it just had to wait till he moved… He was also very aggressive and wanted to fight me and I think he slashed my car tire. Just steer clear and tell staff… he’s not stable
It has been a nightmare. His health aid told me she could immediately tell I am anxious as heck around him. I’m maybe paranoid but he did literally threaten me so I’m unsure if this constitutes paranoia. Just extreme anxiety. Everytime he opens the side door I check to make sure he didn’t take my cats.
That’s not paranoia, that’s self-preservation! I’m sorry for you, Froge, i hope he actually moves out when his 30 days are up…
That is absolutely disgusting! You should not be forced to continue living with a roommate like that.
