I remember Al Franken saying on tv that he was addressing a gathering of the Green Party members before the Bush/Gore election. He told the Greens that they sure would feel funny if the little portion of the vote they got was enough to tip the election to the Republicans. They didn’t heed Franken’s advice, and that is exactly what happened.
