Why the Round Avatars?

I am not saying I dont like them - but is there a reason for them?
Woke up this morning and noticed all the Avatars were rounded off -
Any other other changes to the site?
Man, I have a hard time with change :smile:

I don’t like them. The Adobe product launch icons I use for my avatars are all square. Square peg forced into a round hole, that’s me for all of my life.

I like the circles…less intense than the squares.

Yes that’s true, they are softer a bit.
I just have to get a new avatar - mine doesn’t fit

I still say - I can’t see the pictures on the topic listings, which is where I use them.

No real reason - just that we updated the software and thats what the software developers decided looked better. Oh well.

I kind of like them - they are a little softer on the eyes. I like round corners more than pointy, hard edges.

But hey - everyone is different.

I’m getting used to them actually - they are not so bad.
Just got to find the right fitting avatar :smile:

I like them. Reminds me of some other software but can’t think what.

My butterfly wings are clipped…I clicked into a bunch of avatars and saw some people have their faces cut in half…this would now require having to play around with your avatar photo until it fits a square pic in a round hole.

Another really ridiculous thing is the board only shows the most recent poster so you have no idea whose thread it is…was much better when it listed a row of posters with the OP at the begining…

Not sure if you’re on mobile or computer - but on my computer - the first avatar is the initial poster… then the rest of the posters (not sure how they manage with many more posters).

But - on mobile maybe not enough room for multiple posters’ avatars.

Google plus does the circle thing… Is that it?
