this happened to both me and a good friend of mine. we were going to different pdocs in different towns but same thing happened. the pdocs changed the cocktail of meds like taking away two meds and lowering another with out telling us. we both got extremely depressed well he became manic too. I got over it by taking the correct dosages of the latuda and I feel fine now but he is still a mess.
I think sometimes the pdocs go to meeting sessions here about a new plan of treatment and then decide to try it out on their patients for no other reason.
At least that is what I feel my pdoc did to me. Yes, I was sleeping my life away on the combo I was on but I had no other side effects. Instead of lowering dosage - he added in another med which made me faint and break my knee - go back and so he takes me off another med which was controlling the eps symptoms so I got td from that.
so now I am off all my meds because of that quack and what he did to me. Still trying to find a new pdoc.
I am sorry you went through that. my old pdoc lowered the dose of the latuda, took me off clonidine and amitriptyline. I see a new pdoc in august so hopefully things will get sorted out. I hope things work out for you too. finding a new pdoc within a decent amount of time can be hard.
