Why it’s time for a meat tax

I’d eat more meat free products if it wasn’t for the fact so many of them are totally disgusting. I like vegetables bu not sure I could just sit down to a plateful of veg.

Meat alternatives are improving and getting creative . I wanna try this https://youtu.be/KQYCo9rJhkM

That’s a great idea.

I’m a vegan. It’s been seven months.

Progressive social engineers can keep their filthy noses away from my grill.

What I dislike is the zealotry of many vegans . These people aren’t content with going meat free themselves but are hell bent on guilt shaming those who don’t follow suit.

Having said that I do think more people would reduce meat consumption if the alternatives were more palatable. There are ongoing attempts to improve the situation but currently they’re very much out of the reach of ordinary consumers.

Most people shop at supermarkets where the meat free produce ranges from just about edible to an abomination. I’ve tried buying a selection of meat free options on a couple of occasions and ended up throwing a lot of it away it was so awful.

It is mostly a false stereotype that vegans commonly shame meat eaters. I have met many vegans and none shamed me for eating meat. Although many vegans tried to convert me it was never aggressive. Not saying it doesn’t happen, it is just far rarer than the stereotype would make it seem

If the meat industry used cats and dogs I believe more people would understand what vegans are so upset about. There is alot of cruelty in the industry. It is just typically towards animals few people have emotional attachment towards

they’ll be making burgers in petri dishes soon, (may even serve them from there as well

If they’re able to lab grow meat that has the same or better quality without the ethical concerns, I’m all in. Until then, pass the steak rub.

Most is those links are just meat eaters talking about vegans rather actual vegan zealots. And a Google search doesn’t prove there are multitudes of vegans going around shaming people into adopting the lifestyle ether. It is easy for loud small minorities to get all the attention away from quiet majorities on the internet. By the way I have found more people in person shaming people to eat meat than into veganism. There is alot of masculine culture tied to eating meat

Give me palatable meat free alternatives and I’ll eat less meat. As for your meat eating is tied to masculinity comment- reverse sexism at work .

My main problem not eating meat is that I never feel full. It’s literally just that. I’d gladly stick to vegetables if I could feel satiated for at least a few hours after eating a meal.

Why take people’s money to fill your own sick, ego-driven agenda?

I’d be all for a decent veggie burger that doesn’t taste overwhelmingly of potato with a few bits of other veg thrown in.

Humans were meant to be omnivores.
I consume both meat and veggies.
I’m fine doing this.
