Ive always been deadly afraid of that, its lack of insight. Without it - i would be screwed.
You need to know your ill, so you can do something about it. I suppose there is an element of ignorance is bliss. But i like to be aware thank you.
Another good reason to take your meds - even tho you are feeling well. Cos thats whats keeping you stable.

If I lose insight, I will be a spiritual psychic. I know what my pdoc would think of that.

I do worry that my meds will stop working one day. I’m already on the max dose of Invega and have tried most ap’s including clozapine. Me returning to the workforce this year is a risk.

AT FIRST,I want to clear that, the realistic condition be called Schizophrenia is embodied in the phonic emitter ( the emitter of the phonic thoughts\ or pronounced thoughts )
it is the most important character of the thing be called hallucination(s)
For example, person with schizophrenia ,is a person suffers from the effect of the phonic emitter mentally\emotionally \behaviorally and chemically (because its words of speech(its voices) are verbally thoughts or\ spoken thoughts that never heard as physical sound at all
It means,the hallucination entity(S) PRODUCES THOUGHTS in the first place NOT VOICES AS YOU THINK !
the person hears the speech’s content of the hallucination being as he perceives the thoughts Not as he hears the voices from any layer \tone !
so that it have a powerful effect on the mental life of the person
So,All human conditions (whatever their names) that do not contain the phonic emitter (we meant the hallucination) ,it is different condition , not the actual condition be called schizophrenia\dementia …etc -it is irrelevant
I have Schizophrenia but I don’t have hallucinations. This seems to not fit into your theory despite my diagnosis.
we talking about the practical actual sz condition that activated ONLY by the phonic emitter and its verbally thoughts that be perceived mentally
we never give any interest to the symptoms that be taken to diagnosing the actual sz condition or \ the pathological changes ,disorders or the symptoms of any human condition that does not affected by the phonic emitter (H),
because the sz condition itself is represented structurally \functionally only in the phonic emitter being and its emitted thoughts ,AND the sz condition is not represented at all in the diagnostic symptoms whatever they are (negative,positive or cognitive …etc
And this means that;
the Real sz condition is not a group of any diagnostic symptoms (positive,negative or cognitive …) can be observed by any external observers,
because all symptoms are just the end result of the phonic emitter impacts on the concept of thought process data, feelings of emotion and behavioral responses,they are the end result of schizophrenic factor (H) activity , they are reflected reactions not an action ,not the sz condition and not the cause of the condition

if you say’I do not have Hallucination being"
in reality ,it means ,you do not affected by the real actual schizophrenic factor being,rather you are affected by a symptoms as a result of environmental schizophrenia (a group of objective symptoms coming from bad side effect of external factors represented in bad environmental conditions (home learning, school education,acquired culture,bad personal relationships with otherness-nothing more
it is correct to say (schizophrenia have me ) instead to say "I have schizophrenia " because all personal behavioral responses which diagnosed by the Dr. as the symptoms of sz are just the result of sz effectiveness on yourself -nothing you have except the reactions !
I “recognise” why people, some of them actual psychiatrists, would think I’m mental. That’s a far cry from me accepting it, at least not on their terms.
Yes I know someone who believes that the positive symptoms they experience are real. It’s actually pretty disturbing because they think things such as that an old friend wants to drag them to hell with him when he dies. Not a nice way to look forward to the future.

We remain talking about the actual sz condition which characterized only by the existence of the phonic emitter (verbally thoughts emitter) who is the active material being of the sz condition from A to Z
We are looking for the human being that you diagnosing him as a person who is in a state of hearing voices (auditory hallucination ) ,
In the same time we did not give attention to all diagnostic symptoms by Dr. or the anatomical mutations,disorders or any chemical abnormalities which all of them be used to diagnosing a condition be called sz in a human sample,because all of them are the bad End of the sz story (means -the results)
So,what is happens during the first moment of sz’s occurrence in a human being ?
it is the sudden appearance of the schizophrenic factor being (the thing that you call it hallucination) in the imagination theater of the human being and in the conscious state of mind -this is the first early new changes that has been occurred in the inner nature of the human being
Feeling with that an imaginary pictures of a living being(s) have the independent ability to move by themselves in the owned imagination theater as they want ,and the human being find that there is no self-control can preventing the movement of these pictures in any moment of time
second,the human being find an emission of a voices that broadcasting from the moved imaginary pictures ,or the voices are following the movement of the living imaginary pictures in the owned imagination
this is general description for the zero hour of sz ( 00:01) occurrence or the birthday of sz,and during the first day,second and third days,and before the human being is presented to the Dr. to diagnose his condition or to undergo any medical intervention
Frankly,who does not know what the nature of the characteristics of the living things (beings) that emerged,embodied and localized existentially in the inner nature of the human being,he will never know the secret that makes the human being not voluntarily ask to go to Dr. in order to treat him from a disease he suffers from now
At least you guys can get a proper diagnosis most of the time. My doctor isn’t sure sometimes and I have to check into the hospital cause it looks so similar.

Im not sure if I had that but definitely one reason I didnt have insight was because i was thinking something else other than reality.

I had no insight for the first 5yrs of my illness. I stopped meds for 2yrs after 5yrs, it was hell and learned my lesson, gained insight. Went back on meds in 2016, still on them.

what is the core change that occurs in the psychological nature of the human being who coexists with the condition ,and it is impossible to find any similar change that be happened in the nature of all human beings ,whether they are in a state of health or disease at any age stage ?
the change that the human being feels and perceives by himself throughout natural instinct (no matter the degree of his IQ ) without the need for a teacher or prior cognitive experience or even a diagnosis from any external observer !?
or ,what is fundamental difference between the nature of the human being (structure,function,self-knowledge and the directions of personal behavioral responses Before the sz’s occurrence and After its occurrence ?
What is the consequence of the occurrence of sz and its existence,its effect that continues throughout the period of wakefulness that the human being coexists with ,and all of this is repeated every day after day without known end
or ,what is the change which activated by the existence and functions of the spiritual emitter (the voice emitter,the verbally thoughts emitter,the schizophrenic factor,the psychotic factor ,the madness maker ,or the things be called hallucination ?

the sz condition has acts \behaves as a higher living being (entity ,creature ) not as a disease or illness or a mental symptoms or a single mental symptom , and any person with sz he knows that without teacher or diagnostic plot from any one !
Why was it that doctors, in the 1973, were unable to recognize their own mental illness ?

The fact the other true patients were better at recognizing that this the group were sane, yet the doctors did not, was hilarious.
