It’s so disturbing to me that so many of our brothers and sisters who have sz end e up n jail. The Los Angeles jail is the largest mental health facility n California. The system is so screwed up. But what can we do about it. Put n office and vote for those that support our mental health. I’ve read n my research that Reagan is where it started n 1984 when the mental hospitals were shut down. Those people were dispersed and more community centers are never built. Let’s fight for our rights by voting in good knowledgeable people in relation to good mental health.
I couldn’t give two ■■■■■ about Los Angeles. Lived there for 7 years in there disgusting country across the pond. And I’ll never go back.
When I was sent to a young offenders institute in London, UK, they knew I had psychosis and ended up in a mental health hospital ward.
I was lucky as I could have been out with the general population. That would have been scary.
I hope they have such facilities to use in places in the US, but it sounds like so many people are ill it must have overwhelmed the services in the prison system.
For me, my mental health condition meant I was released on appeal. That was because I needed to be in hospital and not a youth jail.
This was all very traumatic, yet it seems much more like a functional system here all that time ago, compared to what it’s like in a lot of places in the US today.
Care in the community was the same thing in the UK. The support is patchy at best, but we’re lucky to have Universal Healthcare here.
I feel so sorry for people who ended up in courts rather than hospitals. It happens too much
I don’t know.
I know that drugs is an addiction so that they can become violent and end up in jail
Lucky myself I have been red pilled from the internet. When I started reading *red pilled stuff I started to take my medication
