They suggested another LAI (not the abilify I used to be on) in addition to clozapine once but I didn’t want to be overmedicated.

I took clozapine for a week I kept passing out on it.
They kept me on Clozapine for a year, it gave me diabetes and tachycardia.

I read that risperidone addon makes clozapine more effective.
It might be that you are treatment-resistant like me, in which case no med will work fully for you unless you take a debilitating dose. I had to find alternate ways to cope with the positive symptoms.
why do you think that
It is not appropriate for you to tell others what medications they should or should not take, that is the job of a doctor. Please do not do that again.

Clozapine is a taxing drug. I regret having stayed on it for as long as I did.

I’m thinking of booking a psych doc’s appointment through my psych nurse. Would it be a good idea?
I learned the hard way never to skip blood tests on it. Agranulocytosis. Not my fave med, either. Sadly, it is still the best med for treatment-resistant SZ.

clozapine changed my life. it is truly a miracle. I hope you find a med or combo of meds that will give you relief
