Why we cant just stop and keep silent
Voices arrnt people
They arent anything
Keep talking with voices make delusions strongers
Why do we talk to voices
For me i talk involuntry…
I kind of just automatically respond. They say something, I respond. Sometimes I ignore them, but they don’t really like being ignored.
It’s easier to not respond when it’s just once in a while. When you hear them all the time for longer periods of time, it’s impossible not to get overwhelmed and react.
@saynow, i get the impression you are constantly trying to find ways to deal with your symptoms without actually addressing the issues with a psychiatrist and finding the appropriate treatment options. Are you having a hard time accepting that taking your medication is the best way to help alleviate your voices or at least help control them?
I ignore mines. No point in arguing.
May be…
I don’t have voices but it maybe is because of afraiding to make them angry or decreasing the pressure of being silent to them,
If I don’t respond with my voices they put a voice inside my head or behind/beside me and start responding as me until I start responding. My voices are “mind readers” so they respond to all of my thoughts. Anytime I start thinking they pop up.
Actually, lots of people find it real useful to get a dialogue going with the voices, including me.
The voices are products of me, my brain, so in reality, I’m having a conversation with my subconscious.
Plus, I’ve learned the hard way that the more you ignore your problems instead of acknowledging them, the harder they’ll come at you.
I usually just sigh and tell mine to shush since he’s unintelligible.
I don’t talk out loud to my voices, so most people never even know that I am hearing voices out loud because I don’t respond to them vocally. I do talk to them psychically, but I learned a long time ago that talking out loud made people look at me funny.
