Why do I still have small episodes of fear and paranoia? I’m on an antipsychotics. Isn’t that what they’re for?
For me, antipsychotics have really covered the hallucinations bit of my disorder. Sometimes they don’t cover the other symptoms that come with schizophrenia.
What are you having paranoia about?

I feel like a swat team is trying to break into my house or shoot me through the windows.

The medications take a while to work. talk to your p’doc and they should adjust your medication to help get rid of the paranoia.

Oh, I see. I used to have similar delusions. I know it’s hard to believe when you’re still going through paranoia, but there’s no one trying to come after you.
How long have you been taking your medicines?

Since February been on seroquel.

I take Seroquel too! I don’t know if anyone else has had any similar problems with it, but I’ve experienced it. I’ve become used to it since they come in mild waves for me and I know how to handle them. How much are the delusions/fears affecting you?

They’re still pretty frequent for me.

The meds or the paranoia. Because the paranoia is pretty damn hard on me. I feel like my life will be taken from me within seconds. And the meds Don’t seem to help much with it.
Yes they don’t help much with these mild symptoms.

Perhaps a med change or add on? Although my doc said my meds will take me to a baseline. Might not totally end paranoia but take it from the forefront of my thoughts and bring it to the background so it is easier to deal with. Talk therapy can help it some too.
