You can download all kinds of instant pot recipes online.
I get InstaPoots every time I eat takeaway pizza. Ugh.
Nice good find enjoy!
Id wait on the insta pot for @bobbilly and first invest in a crockpot. Just load your food in the pot in the morning and turn the knob to hi. Ready in about five hours and makes your house smell nice.
I’m scared to use pressure cookers lol what if it explodes? I don’t get it lol what does it save 5 minutes? I’m sure it has a technical use in the culinary arts like getting the temperature real high or something but for Joe schmo like me I wouldn’t wanna use a pressure cooker. I’ve seen social media posts of those things going nuclear.
I don’t like pressure cookers either. they terrify me as well.
Lmao the anxiety would be wild. I can’t imagine being in the other room and boooom the flippin thing explodes lol. Not worth 3 minute spaghetti to me
My housemate uses one
Idk maybe hot pots are more technologically advanced. My housemate uses an old school one tho. So if I die you guys know why
Did your relatives ever can meat and veggies in pressure cookers? Like even as a child I was terrified at the amount of steam coming out during the canning process. Old school yo.
Hmm I remember my mom canning a lot of stuff but I don’t think she used a pressure cooker. Just a regular pot.
Hedonism takes many forms
My gran taught me to help her can with her pressure cooker when I was like six or seven and my mom had kittens. I remember my gran yelling at her in her Scot accent: Th’ boy’s nae glaikit, bit ye micht be. Shaw respect ‘n’ stoap yelling at yer mither. Ah raised ye in wance piece didnah?
Then I got in trouble for laughing.
@sweetpotatocasserole and @POET, it’s not like they explode a lot. If they were as dangerous as you fear they wouldn’t last long on the market. I’ve been cooking with my instant pot since 2021 and never had problem with it. They are simple to use and if you use them correctly they should not explode.
I cooked a corned beef roast for St. Patricks Day. A recipe said the roast should cook for six hours if I used the oven; I cooked it in my instant pot in 1 1/2 hours and it came out perfect.
Yeah, some things you’re barely saving time. Spaghetti can take up to 30 minutes on the stove to heat up a pot of water and cook the noodles and make the meat sauce. In the Instant Pot it takes six minutes. A pot of chili on the stove can take up to 45 minutes to simmer and cook. I can do it in 10 minutes with an instant pot.
I was paranoid about it exploding too, TBH but I’ve used it a hundred times safely now.
I mean I’m not selling them or I’m not paid to plug them but they’re handy and usually make cleaning up afterwards a breeze.
I have three instant pots so I know how to use them. I really don’t like them though. I’m prolly just a simple minded person. I like my crockpot, my Dutch oven, my roasting pan and my wok.
Great word. One of my favourites
I had a strong Scottish accent when I started grade one because I probably spent more time with my grandmother than I did with my mom, She was going to university then working as a nurse in a city a couple hours north of the town my gran lived in. The accent is gone now, but I remember kids in my class asking when I had moved to Canada, which confused me. It was just how we spoke in my home at the time.
I love my instant pot and use it everyday
fair enough youve made your point dude haha.
loool took me 5 minutes to translate that thanks for the story tho, was interesting.
reminds me of patois (jamaican) very close to english technically like gramatically and such but youd never understand a damn word spoken lol
