Why do vacations HAVE to happen during the same two weeks for every god damn person working in the public system? Doctors, caseworkers, etc.
It’s impossible to get a hold of anyone, and it feels like it’s mocking those of us who can’t afford to take a vacation D:

No, I live in Denmark.
Most schools are closed from june to august, but people seem to take vacations during the same two weeks in july for some reason.
Is it a government policy? Or is it because the schools are closed? Or the weather? Regardless of the reason it’s dangerous for all mental health services to be closed at the same time.
Here in Canada when the kids are out of school the parents usually take their holidays at the same time to spend some family time
Haha yes it’d sure be convenient if people we relied on never needed vacations but that’s life for ya. I imagine everyone takes vacation at the same time because there are specific times good for vacationing

It might be worthwhile to visit a few vacation spots during the off season for tourists.
In Canada, we have such a short season of tolerable weather, that there are really only 4 months that a vacation in country is feasible. And if you have school-aged kids, it’s down to two months.
I’m on vacation for a week and a half starting on Thursday. I badly need the break.
Vacations arent much of a break with kids. Just seems like more work to me. I guess it depends on how many you have and how old they are.
