Long Weekend (Canada)

Do Long Weekends or holidays have any meaning to you?

There are holidays for all sorts of things, but for me its just another day. In my travels at work, everyone comes back telling me how they went camping, or what ever they were up to, but I noticed years ago I was never invited. Doubt I would go now anyways, you bring up the issue then it becomes a pity invite.

Another end of summer long weekend this week, another summer gone by with no fun, and the weekend has to be spent getting ready for fall and equipment ready for winter, living the dream…

What do you think of the holidays throughout the year?

Because I don’t work or study anymore they don’t mean much.

But I do like that it means I can spend time with friends and family that have the extra day of holidays.

I’m on call this weekend. Will probably wind up running fuel out to a couple of rigs and a service station. Also have to finish some video projects for clients before I shut down that part of my biz (too much work for not enough $$$). I don’t get much in the way of holidays, the opposite of my wife the teacher.

I am a waitress so I work all weekends and holidays. Except this year I am going to visit my mom for thanksgiving. I work 6 days a week but only 4 to 6 hours a day.

This weekends long in america too labor day…holidays and weekends mean very little to me…the big ones I celebrate for my kid…and last Christmas I went to my sisters to spend time with her and her kids and my parents…but in general I try to make it fun for the little one…
