Just read an article that states anyone with a psychotic disorder is not eligible to donate blood. It didn’t mention anything to do about medication so I’m wondering why this is?
This is a case-by-case scenario. I disclosed my sz to my doctor and decided to donate blood, but the doctor considered me competent to donate blood. Unfortunately my hemoglobin was low so I didn’t donate blood.
Also, I live in Korea and that disqualifies me immediately from donating blood- malaria occurs here, even though no one dies from it. Every time I try to donate blood in a foreign country I always get denied because I went to Korea.
