I was depressed most of my life. When I got to my early 30’s, it changed to severe suicidality. At age 34, I was diagnosed with sza. I was experiencing a lot of psychosis as well as persistent depression.
Exactly what Mike said. Its to be more accurate. High can mean a whole bunch of things outside of manic.
My other neighbour whos Bi-polar always says shes high. Its not hard to tell when shes on one cos she talks very fast - and numerous parcels turn up for her when shes gone on a spending spree. Tbh i prefer to be Sz - its sounds way worse.
You can tell when shes on a low - cos she wont be seen for days.
