my voice has resonated locally. before I was dx sz, I used to frequent a particular Cincinnati reds message board, I spent a lot of time watching all the games analyzing the roster the business model and so forth. anyways I had a pretty good eye for the game and one day me and another poster got into an argument about how important velocity is in pitching. I always thought these control types who try to pitch on the corners were nothing but losing baseball players who give up home runs.
so to get back to the conversation, we were having a debate about mike leake âa pitcher not a throwerâ I was never high on mike leake thought he was overrated and waste of time, during the conversation I say tongue in cheek I wonder what rheal Cormierâs doing these days? to which the other poster replies âyour momââŚto which I quickly respond, I donât think momâs into âsoft tossersâ and my insult was born.
to get back to the point I turn on the radio yesterday and the baseball guy is using my insult to qualify these control types âsoft tossersâ it registered and they were saying they need to look for both control and velocity, that they think these âlesser armsâ are a failed experiment.
at one point it was traumatic to have my words echoed in a larger social circle but not anymore. iâm ok with it
