Who's on risperidone?

Got a meeting with consultant in a month, her and my care coordinator are in talks of switching me to risperidone, who’s on this and what are side effects etc? Please and thank you :slight_smile:

I am on 3 mg respridal… side effects are weight gain and sedation…!!! How much are they will be putting u on…!!! I am soon going to 2mg as i dont have bothering symptoms…!!! Take care hope u find it effective…!!!

Oh I’m changing to it and olanzapine is knocking me for six and sedates me Badly!

I’m not sure yet how much they’re gonna put me on! :slight_smile: but I hope it works for me.

I’m on it! I’ve noticed weight gain and mild sedation as side effects. That said, it pulled​ me out of some pretty deep psychosis.

Good luck if you decide to make the switch. :slight_smile:

I’m also on it i take 2,5 mg.
but from tonight on I only take 2 mg.

I’m on Risperdal injections. Could be better could be worse. I’m sticking with it.

Risperidone really cleared up my symptoms, but made me nauseous as a side effect. I threw up nearly every meal, and still gained weight. I don’t know if anyone else who experienced nausea, so I think it must be a rare side effect.

I remember people in hospital starting on risperdal and some of them puked their lungs out in the evening they had to stop it

That’s how I feel on Latuda. I puke every time I take it unless I take Zofran.

Personally risperdal ruined my life…horrible sexual side effects made me suicidal after about three years on it…finally got put on prolixin and there are no side effects…I hope you like your med…I didn’t…

When you say sexual side effects, what do you mean? Glad you’re on something that works now

I was impotent on risperdal…since you are a woman maybe you don’t have to worry about that.
