Hah. This boy in like 5th grade? I thought he was funny… the crush only lasted the school year tho. He’d call me on the home phone and we’d talk.

The first non-celebrity real crush was on a guy named Josh in the 7th grade.
He was clearly the coolest 7th grader, which is super saying a lot.
Some of the girls I went to school with called me and told me he was asking me to date.
That he was on the other line.
But I could hear other girls snickering in the background.
I knew it was a mean joke so I hung up on them.
Oddly though, Josh and I were paired for an end of year project and spent a good bit of time together.
All the other girls were super jelly.
He was the first person to tell me I was a really good writer.

I’m totally on it. I will be hiring the best private detective I can find first thing in the morning. When I find her, I’m sure she won’t be creeped out all to find out that a 50 year old man is tracking her down because he had a crush on her when she was like 13.

Kindergarten. This little Mexican girl, she was so cute. Every day after school the teachers would have us line up in pairs and hold hands to cross the street to get to the bus stop and I remember one time I was paired up with the girl and I got to hold her hand. It was great.
