My aunt named me (my dads sis), as that’s been a tradition in our family
I named me, about 7 years ago.
As traditionally our middle names have been our dads, I was also thinking of changing my middle name … i might do it if I ever get married at some point
First my mom named me. Then in a drunken rage, my dad changed my name. Then as an adult, I changed my name back to my original name
got a name change threw the court back when i was a teen and came up with the money. thanks you family for not being there. you warn a help then.
Wow, a lot more of us changed our names than I expected!
Would it be weird to ask my partner to give me a middle name when (if) we get married . Id love that instead of a ring or something I get a name of his choosing
My surname was originally my real fathers, but my mother decided when I was 16 to change it by deed poll to my step dads surname.
It kinda bothered me that she did this without even consulting me
That sounds super romantic, as long as you get veto power in case you hate the name he picks.
aha I feel ill be involved in that decision nothing weird
Why should i have name ? I don’t listen anyway when you call me.
I got a name when I was a child, another when I was semi adopted, and now from my now family. I’m pretty happy with my name, and proud of my Korean name.
My mother named me after my great great grandmother, my doctor, and my grandmother. I have 2 middle names.
My mom I think
Then when I became Muslim in 2011 I renamed myself
Both my parents named me.
My dad. I was almost named Kathy. Hell no.
My mom
Idk I wasn’t born. Probably my parents or someone in my family.
I legally dropped my family name and and used my middle name as a last name, but my parents picked my names
I think my Mom named me.
