Who here has historically been hospitalized quite alot of times but recently only a few times?

Or, the other way around?

From the early 90’s to the mid 00’s, I was literally in and out of hospital psych wards like a revolving door, every two weeks or so, I kid you not. Then, in 2005, it suddenly stopped.

Lately, I have only been admitted twice in the last 14 years.

Only 2 times since 2014. But 10 times in the 4 years before that.

I think with schizoaffective or schizophrenia most people would have had frequent needs to stay inpatient to adjust their meds over their lifetime…I dont know how many people are lucky enough to live without any meds I Havent met anyone who is without meds who has genuine schizophrenia. Right now Im considering going inpatient because I am noticing warning signs…but I have been taking the medications…my case worker was very concerned with me on Friday…

I tend to become unstable a few months out of every year…sort of like Bipolar1 which was one of my diagnoses…like Im crying a lot…but Im also manic and if my paranoia gets so bad it will lead to loss of sleep and if I lose enough sleep like days and days eventually I could hallucinate also with mania i hallucinate so its very similar to schizophrenia…and I still require hospitalization a lot…right now Im diagnosed with MDD, Schizophrenia, and GAD, but you could roll that all into Bipolar1 for simplification…and I dont think I have schizophrenia…Im having crying spells a lot.

I’ve been hospitalized I estimate 41 times. The last time a year and some months ago, before that it had been a little over ten years. I won’t go back. I only went back because I thought it’d be better than being alone with a voice trying to force me to commit suicide. It was worse than being alone. My voice was created by a death wish and a mixed up understanding of the past. I can’t imagine what would induce me to go back, I just have to take the crappy medicine, I swear I hope I don’t have brain problems.

Wow that’s a lot! For me Well I guess it was only 8 in that 4 year span . Two were not for the psych ward. And plus I’ve been to the hospital many times since not admitted

Humans for the most part I like these days. Very admirable. Covid brought out despair but also a lot to admire in folk.

I have only been hospitalized twice as an adult actually…both were voluntary…and both times I stayed for less than two weeks. Both times they were helpful and I got better and felt better afterwards…

I had a lot of hospital admissions from the age 25-29.
Then I moved somewhere psych wards were not an option, and I haven’t been to one since.
I’m on my third year of no psych wards.

My disease started in 2014. I was hospitalized around a dozen times between 2014 and 2017. As of 2018 forward through now I have not been hospitalized once.

I was never hospitalized a lot. I was only hospitalized when I stopped my meds.
