Who else has trouble sleeping?

And how do you get through your day on little sleep?

I take trazodone but recently been sleeping 3-5 hrs at most. Some family issues lately. I hate how docs sometimes prescribe you minimum of what you need. Instead of what is proficiently effective. And symptoms change with the day so much. Can’t even get in contact with a nurse on what I’m suppose to take I have like three different bottles I’m barely getting by on. My appt is days away but this doc scares me because he’s all talk and hasn’t made a new regimen gave me scripts or faxed in ■■■■. What is he doing? I seen him twice already. I guess I’ll be patient I hate going to the ER and putting down for suicidal thoughts. When all I freaking need is my meds straight. Ugh.

When I was discharged I just go by the paper but new docs and computers tell them different things. I live in rural Alaska and I’m not even sure they have a mental hospital ward. Probably so I’m new in this area. I feel like going but if I make it another night with alright sleep it’s like I can hang in there.

I don’t know if I’m being helpful at all here, but my experience - having a sleep issues since high school - is that once I got off all those sleep aids I was put on, I had better sleep and I handled sleepless nights way better than I did with pills.
Because once you are off all those chemicals, you have to rely on your body and mind and get yourself sleep with just a strength of will to do it. It maybe takes a timebut for me it worked.

I also might sound stupid here- geografy is not my thing- , but have you considered a time zone in Alaska ( longer nights or what) to contribute to the problem?

I wish I could sleep without aid it’s been awhile the sun rises late and sets early. I don’t know how long it takes the body to acclimatize to it but I will try to sleep without aid but once I start toss and turning is when I use the trazodone. I try melatonin then if that doesn’t work. I only been here in Alaska a month and my body symptoms been undergoing much change after living in Georgia for 12 years.

i have trouble sleeping i am an insomniac because i messed up my sleep schedule from staying up too late for a long time…i always have too much stuff on my mind to sleep…
