I’ll crash for 4-5 hours then wake up and not be able to get back to sleep, although I am still very tired.
I’m on a drug called Pravastatin for my cholesterol. I wonder if that could be the culprit?
Anyone out there with a similar problem?

my pdoc raised mine, not sure how she knew,
since I never said anything.
but maybe got word from my in home visit nurse.
got 50 bucks for that, by the way. ha.

Not really. After starting prozac 17 days ago, I tend to sleep more and have trouble getting up in the morning. Also, existential questions such as ‘what is the purpose of it all’ still linger at the back of my mind.
I do that often. Last night I slept about 3-4 hours and I’ll get tired later today. I found that if I go to sleep without taking my meds and get up a few hours later and then take it I can sleep a full night. Melatonin does not work for me and trazadone makes me feel bad. No sleep aid works, I just start sleeping too much or at the wrong hours. It could be my age or the fact I was on Zyprexa for ten years. Were you on Zyprexa? that can screw up your sleep pattern for life when you get off. One problem I have is I just like to sleep in the daytime, don’t know why, maybe it’s for a stupid reason. I love to sleep on the couch in the daytime with TCM on the television.

your body, maybe, mind, has gone to used to Melatonin.
just stick with your Trazadone. it’s what I do.
I just dealt with this. For a few months I was just like my name, a zombie. On autopilot all day.
What I did was get out of bed and stay up, no naps or lying down. Then stayed up an hour or so past my regular bed time. That made me tired enough to get to sleep.
I added a supplement, 5htp. It helps calm me, but because it affecta serotonin you cannot take it with any AD except Wellbutrin, thats the only one that I know of that doesn’t affect serotonin.
There’s also a supplement a froend told me about, Calms Forte. It’s not expensive and has good ratings.
