I don’t see people becoming mods as a power trip or to dish out punishment or for the pleasure of having authority. Maybe it it turns into that a little but I see the mods as doing what they do mainly out of altruism and a genuine desire to help make this site a good, safe place.
I hope its not altruism, and those communitarian dimension personality traits that psychiatric administrators do myersbriggs-like interpretations of our comments to select community leaders
I had bad experiences with the ultimate altrusitic communitarian community worker guys before, and prefer someone who actually is indifferent to community and just personal interests.
The communitarian thing pertains to treatment because a communitarian thinks community interests are more important than bodily autonomy, so you’ll have very restrictive treatment.
