Out of maybe 100 community workers maybe 10 stand out as being very communitarian. Thats my own impression from living amongst them. Most bodily autonomy based issues like reproduction or womens rights are between people who think they have individual rights and others who think the larger community should determine if you should carry to term or can be sexually harassed
What type of communities are you hanging out in?

Oh, so it is a politically based to a large degree. Or at least politics determines if bodily autonomy is allowed. In the U.S. I think most people agree freedom from sexual harassment is a right for the individual and larger groups.
Altruism is like a basis of community oriented-ness was the whole point.

Not trying to sound smart but I don’t get the relationship between altruism and communitarianism. Or if it is related, how? Altruism is not necessarily always doing for the greater good in numbers, it can be an individual helping another individual. I’m about to give up and go have a soda.
