I’m a big Lenny fan.
I still have his albums somewhere, but unfortunately some of my books were donated after my psychotic break in 2013 when I was temporarily preoccupied with ridding sinful material from my personal collections.

These were 2 that I remember:

I liked Jim Carey’s early stand up.

I watched tosh.o live… I followed him on the net for a while. He is a comedian that stands out to me!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen his stand-up, but I remember him in In Living Color in the 90s and as an alien in Earth Girls Are Easy in the 80s. Oh, he was also in Peggy Sue Got Married, which I think was also the 80s.

“I don’t think they like puns…” One of the best clips of all time.

I mainly watch comedians through podcasts. Nick Mullen is my favorite. If you aren’t familiar with he work, he is extremely immature (nsfw content alert). He uses a lot of irony, making the dumb stuff funny.
Shane Gillis is hilarious also. Really happy to see him getting national attention.
I also enjoy Bill Burr and his commentary on current events.

Does anyone remember this one? I listened to No Cure for Cancer in the 90s, although my brother would tell me it was all a rip-off of Bill Hicks.

Haha that’s pretty good. And somehow exactly how I imagined Jim Carrey’s standup would be.

Nick Mullen might be my favorite as well. He is constantly walking the fine line and often just straight up crosses it. You really have trust that people can say things without meaning them to enjoy him. I have friends i literally can’t bring him up to because if they dug to deep I’d lose the friendship. I do kind of fantasize about just pulling the pin and jumping out of the car by showing them the Bill Nye clip. I live a double life.

Louis CK claims Leary stole his material and made it into the As*hole song.

George Carlin for me! I love his insights to life and society.

Big relate. You definitely have to create a barrier between what he says and the fact that it should never be taken seriously. I’ll listen to an episode of the old pod, the name of which I will not mention, and then go out of my way to help someone in need. It’s funny to consider the potential irony in that.

Dave Chappelle is a great shout. First comedy special I ever watched was Killin’ Em Softly in highschool. Loved his show too. Dave might be my GOAT.
