Taking Abilify 10mg for SZA and am experiencing ED, however I like the effects of this drug on my mood and depression… what other options are out there. I’ve tried quetiapine which gave me schizo-mimetic features and Olanzapine which made me very vertigo… What else we got thats out there that kinda of works like Abilify, but doesn’t give me erectile dysfunction/ low libido.

If you can get it, I think Rexulti might be good for you. It’s pretty expensive, though, and my insurance only pays for it because nothing else works.

No it doesn’t, for me at least. I think it’s generally mild with side effects.
I just checked the prices…$1,100…thats got to be the Rolls Royce of atypical anti psychotic drugs… what insurance do you got that would cover that bad boy? P.S. workin on my Medicaid App
Geodon is a good one too. And you can get generics. And it’s weight neutral.

I have Medicaid, there was 20 years or more of records showing that nothing else with tolerable side effects helped at all. By that i mean there was one other thing that helped some but game me terrible twitching and restlessness.
I see, well I’ll have to go through the progressions I reckon, sounds like it helps alot.
Ziprasidone that ones not to bad in price, will have to research its mechanisms
It was the best ever for me, but mileage may vary.
Uhhhhh Risperidone was the only AP so far that didn’t affect my libido but it did make it almost impossible to orgasm so that was immensely frustrating.
I’ve not been on a single one without some sort of sexual side effects.
Yea well maybe its not my libido then, its the whole maintaining an erection and orgasm type deal goin on down there, still I’d like to find something that doesn’t affect that part of me…I was on Lexapro once and that just outright nuked my libido and everything downstairs… no chance …no survivors… anyway thanks for all the useful ideas i will bring up in my next appointment! 
This is a weird thing I found out once, when I first went on geodon I noticed it was messing up my sexual functioning, but when I started Wellbutrin around the same time I noticed the Wellbutrin seemed to fix it and bring it back to normal, even better than original?? I went up a dose on my geodon and once again noticed my sexual function failing, went up on Wellbutrin a little while after and bam improvement. Sadly Wellbutrin did not do anything for me mood wise though.
Maybe you could give it a try. As for ADs Zoloft didn’t impact my sexual functioning at all, even when I was at quite a high dose of it. Effexor did affect it.
I don’t know if they would have similar effects ask ur psychiatrist but vraylar n rexulti are the other two partial agonist which is wat abilify is
Ive been on Latuda for the last few months works great for me only sideaffect I really get from it is stomach aches and sometimes I get sick. But it’s also really expensive I failed pretty much all the other antipsychotics so my insurance is helping me out
I’m dealing with the same issue on abilify. But it might be the trazedone I am taking as abilify is one of the medications least likely to cause sexual dysfunction. Good luck though! I might end up changing my medication too to get away from this serious side effect. Give updates if things work out well
Mine was doing great once I got off of Saphris. I really felt young again. Too bad it couldn’t last!
Geodon isn’t covered by Medicaid either, so you would have to pay out of pocket for it.

Aye’ I’m also taking a supplement… the anti-anxiety Klonopin, but I’m sure its the Abilify, because when I upped the dose from 5-10mg the ED symptoms got worse, perhaps a possible strategy could be to go back down to 5mg, the ED was livable at that level if I recall.
that depends on the person. people with low libido are more effected by ap. i am on risperideon and somethimes i will wish to ■■■■ 3 women at once, but somethimes i can’t even masturbate. for me it dependes
