Sexual dysfunction,I hate this side effect a lot…it’s cause by my abilify 5mg,it’s not because of raised prolactin but maybe it messed with the brain and cause me to have SD,I really wished medication especially antipsychotic do not have this side effect

I didn’t know abilify causes sexual dysfunction. I am on 30 mg of abilify. I thought the sexual disfunction came from the effexor I am on.
thought sexual dysfunction was uncommon with abilify, are you on anti depressant cos that might be reason for low libido
@riddled I used to only take abilify since 2010,was on 5mg-15mg,I stopped medication totally with doctors approval and reduced slowly to 0 on May 2012 and my erection was back fully on August 2012.I went back on medication on November 2012 and I had dysfunction since back on medication
@whoami I am also on mirtazapine but abilify is a culprit,I don’t know if mirtazapibe cause that though but abilify alone do.My lilbido is fine,I orgasm everyday just that it’s not intense and I my erection is not full like when I don’t take meds
One beneficial effect anti-depressants like Effexor, Paxil, and Zoloft have is that they cure pre-mature ejaculation in males. They actually make it where it is hard to attain an orgasm.
Sounds equally bad. Bet it keeps the women happy though.

I hate this side effect too. Im on invega 6mg and i don´t have any libido, invega totally killed it. My libido was very high before meds.
I dont like the side effects of my antipsychotic, it is now revving me up and keeping me anxious - but I dont have a lot of choices now - I need these meds to function.
All I can do is with my pdocs consent, go down a bit to see how I feel.
Man I am really getting tired of this
