Where do you want to retire?

I want to retire in Spain one day. Don’t know where exactly. But you’ve got the sunshine, the warm climate, beautiful beaches, mountains, nature and paella. What more do you want.

Unfortunately I’m still tied to Belgium for financial reasons. But who knows one day.

Where do you want to retire?

I am already where I want to retire. It is Maresias, a beach in Brazil with awesome waves, I surf, no criminality, lots of nature, waterfalls, warm climate, peace, no construction noises, no horns, no angry people or people in a hurry. Abundance of pure air.

I am already early retired. I like it here so far. The climate is nice and its not overpopulated.

Great to hear @egofree @anon53623539 that you both have found your place. I’m still waiting on mine.

As much as I’d love to retire where I live now,

In California,

That’s not realistic.

My husband wants to either get a badass RV and travel when he retires,

Or retire somewhere like Panama.

He likes Panama for some reason.

I’ll be doing whatever he’s doing,

So, don’t know yet.

Probs one of those two things though.

Just a place with nice weather where I can enjoy nature all year long.

Hey @dougRN. How are you? Hope all is good. I know my question has nothing to do with the thread but could you tell me what a negative T wave on the ECG means?

Dont want to derail this thread. We could discuss it on my medical thread. It should be down below somewhere.

I’d like to retire to a nice cabin in the mountains where there is a lot of snow, and wilderness for my dogs to enjoy and peaceful walks.

Imagine this would be in America, as we see a lot of these places on the TV, and they look great.

Not sure this will ever happen, but maybe one day it will, you never know

There are several great areas in America to enjoy the mountains like the Tetons, Rocky mountain national park, and Glacier national park. Wouldnt mind living near them. They are beautiful.

Somehow I need to find a way out of financial slavery, but like most people we can dream.

I feel the same way.

Yes, but you can live in a beautiful place on a low buget with minimum luxury. That is viable. I guess everyone is got their needs regarding comfort and luxuary. I can testimony that my well being increased substantially living close to nature and away from criminality.

The problem I have is I am not in the US, and I doubt I could ever be a citizen either

Only way I could get around it is being worth a lot of money

There are places here in the UK I could go to, but it’s so expensive here

I saw a part of a show a couple of days ago on the BBC about elderly British people in India.

If you like warm weather and cheap groceries that could be an option. Overcrowded though.

Look up Akiya bank on google. There are loads of empty super cheap houses. Many need a bit to tidy them up. But you can be in the mountains etc.
