When did you start to hear voices and does it get complicate by time

Hi all; i just hear my first voices my wife called my name but she was not here.i m 35 years old and this is my first voices.and i m just curious does it this voices complicate by time and if it is how you can handle this situation.when did you hear you first voices

Before mine were racing thoughts when I was younger around 9 yrs old. My voices started when I was about 12 and they had names. Michael, Alina and Jason. They left and I started to hear crowds… Large amounts of people talking at one time. Or at times calling my name. I also had a hallucination of male angels singing very loudly. Medication has calmed the issue for me, especially the more criticizing of voices. But I do have racing thoughts from time to time. It gets better if you’re willing to seek help and avoid substances that can increase adrenaline or alter cognition even more.

I use headphones with music playing in my ears to help in crowded environments and take medication regularly and speak to my doctor and therapist. Hope gives a little insight but do not panic, with time you can gain endurance.

Mine started as hearing voices. It took 2 years for me to have my psychotic breakdown. The hallucination got kinda intense. I don’t want to scare you. Just try and be cautious from now on about what you hear. Some people just hear voices and that is the end of it. If you start to have paranoid delusions then you should maybe talk to a pdoc.

I think I started hearing voices in 1999 when I was about 15 or so, but I never thought of them as voices, they were more like intrusive thoughts. Over time they didn’t get that much worse, and sometimes went away. After my relapse in 2012 they returned, and over the last year I found a name for the main voice - Alien. So they are pretty much stable, like white noise in the background, sometimes there sometimes not. Didn’t really get worse. And my meds help with them too, to keep them in control.
