Yeah my first major episode was when I was 16. Interesting how that works. I wonder why some of us have this abnormal pattern of development of the disorder, where we’re symptomatic since early childhood but then it just explodes when we’re older vs only appearing when you’re older like it’s supposed to.
May 2014. I was 32 years old.
My first and only episode so far was when I was 15, but yeah I was hallucinating as a kid. It probably gave me ptsd as a kid. I would see this creepy old cowboy watching me sleep. And I would hear a lot of voices and talk to myself
My psychosis gave my ptsd. I feel like it isn’t talked about enough even though psychosis induced ptsd is a known phenomenon. I made a poll on here once asking who felt they had been traumatized by their psychosis and an overwhelming percent of people responded yes they felt that way. It needs to be considered when treating people with psychosis.
2015, lasted two years. Good riddance.
Yes it does definitely
I’ve been diagnosed with psychosis related PTSD. It changed my personality and made me hypervigilent and afraid. It’s why I started therapy.
It hit me like a truck in late 2019 when I was about to turn 20. I’ve always been kinda unstable though tbh
2017 was my worst year (i was 19 turning 20) since my delusions were aggravated by people around me who didnt understand psychosis and tried to “save” me
- Fasting to get high. I had withdrawn from my family. They must have thought I was trying to commit suicide.
I think it was in 2012, but I’m not really sure. I never paid much attention. I started showing bipolar symptoms when I was around 19 but was untreated. I first saw a demon sometime around six years ago, I think.
At the age of 45. I am nearly 53 now.
I started getting psychotic symptoms a few years ago…i think probably around 2015 or so. I was put on an anti-psychotic around that time and it had helped. I didn’t get diagnosed with schizophrenia until a couple of years ago though.
I was medicated for two months and then got better. They gave me Prolixin and Prozac.I had no hallucinations.I managed after that to go to university for an year, find a job and new girlfriend.
I got psychosis before the Internet became a big deal, when phone booths were still around, when MTV still played music videos, when the Cold War was over and the War on Terror had yet to begin and the Twin Towers were still standing, the Iraq War was considered a success in the US, and the USSR had recently collapsed.
One year and a half ago. I was 27. Now I am 29
So you got it in the 90’s
Sometime as a really young kid. I can’t remember not being psychotic.
I’ve been ill for as long as I can remember. My symtpoms got worse at 9, 12 and 16
As a child I had the delusion that all people are fake, just made from God for me to test me
