it’s almost winter, where I live I consider winter dec 1st through march 1st. although that’s not official, but when it is coldest. I used to hate winter, as I hated the cold, but now that I’ve put on weight it’s not so bad and winters are typically mild here with lots of days with high temps in the 40’s Fahrenheit.
I think my favorite thing is basketball. nba and college. and also the holiday seasons. I also like to ski, 2 years ago I had a season pass to ski, but don’t think I will have time for that if I go back to work.
the worst part is the long days inside, I have a few books to get caught up on. this winter im going to start reading a horticulture textbook I bought, and also some “for dummies” books about world religions to get me started with a little knowledge on religions. hopefully I will get my library fixed up this coming year. I would like it to be nice and comfy in there for my reading.
I like the feeling of going in a warm cosy radiated room after being out in the cold. The bed feels more cosy in particular
If I’m in the mood for it, I like getting together with family for Xmas day and just chilling together
I think getting major storms is one of the best things. There is something comforting about really harsh weather and just being inside warm and comfortable. I think going to sleep listening to the sound of rain is amazing.
What I love is a frosty, crystalline atmosphere at night in the winter where everything sparkles with frosty mist. How I love to take a walk in the winter at night when it’s like this. And I don’t care how cold it is either.
I like the cold and snow, winter clothes, cuddling up in a blanket, drinking hot cocoa with extra marshmallows, Christmas and everything about Christmas; I could go on and on. I just love it all.
I love that it’s not hot. And I love that big guy in that red suit who would rob all the 7-11’s in one night and then tie one off and end up waking up in a landfill but would still somehow manage to have enough time to reverse engineer the latest Nintendo dlc. Ahh! The holidays.
I love being snowed in.
I love trudging through feet of snow then coming inside for hot chocolate, wrap myself up in a blanket and watch movies or sit by the fire.
I have fantasies of camping in the snow snugged up and warm some times
Being in a house with heating on a cold day gives me a cozy feeling that I’ve always associated with Christmas, since it’s usually the coldest time of the year in Virginia, except for maybe January. California is different, it’s nowhere near as cold over here.
The best thing about winter is that my father and his workers are not grilling outside. It’s not bad that I get meat grilled for free, it’s bad that they overdrink on alcohol and on weekends yell around till midnight or early morning. Because the bad thing is my window of my room is exactly there where they will start their alcohol marathon.
