I know I sound childish when I say this but my favorite book series is the Warriors books by Erin Hunter. I started reading them when I was 10 years old, and have now revisited them as an adult recently and I just love them so much.
Yeah, they were the emperors of the Aztecs in Mexico.
I’ve read that the Mayans and Aztecs used to trade a lot and were very friendly with each other. Makes sense too because a lot of their religion, cosmology, and calendars are very similar.
ive most definitely been to parts of mexico with mayan pyramids, cant remember if ive seen the aztecs stuff, but probably. it was so long ago
I Remember their games they had, how they sacrifice certain athletes to the gods. There was a lot of cool stuff i dont remember 100% clearly.
we all know about the mayan calendar, and their interests in astronomy too
my favorite type of astrology, is that of mayan astrology
thought it was dead on accurate for me
I’m the Serpant 11 Eagle
Certainly they were ahead of their time in looking up to the stars
Guns germs and steel is so cool it talks fairly about all the progressions of different continents and why we advanced differently in certain continents than others.
I had that book once. I guess I got ‘rid of it’ and didn’t read it. I got paranoid a few times. I liked the idea of the book. It had good reviews and such. One of Bill Gate’s favorite books of all time.
I also have thought about getting ‘a people’s history of the usa’ but probably won’t it sounds good though. Has good reviews…
@Jonnybegood I remember you from a while back. Hope you are doing good.
I liked the Tom Clancy splinter cell books. They really need to make a splinter cell movie. My dad reads the Jack reacher books. I started reading non fiction pretty much exclusively a while back. I recently picked up a splinter cell book though and had a good time reading what I did.
i’ve read and re-read Jane Eyre by Emily Bronte. there’s a mentally ill woman in the story only she is not portrayed positively at all. still it was a great read.
I read one book series consisting of 11-13 books where each book is like 200-300+ pages. It’s conspiracy stuff. I got real into it, but gravitated away from the topic for my own mental health. (Think “Stranger Things” stuff lol).
Yeah my granddad bought me almost all the Goosebumps books
As a young adult I liked R.A. Salvatore’s Dark Elf Trilogy, and his later books following the same character.
I love Stephen King but he hasn’t made any series that I know of. I read the unabridged 1150 page version of The Stand when I was a senior in high school and it was so gripping.
