Icy Sparks by Gwyn Rubio. Its about a girl in the 50s with tourettes syndrome. (My oldest son has tourettes syndrome).

I can’t get into fictional books so much.

But I enjoyed Don Quixote, at least the first part. Then I got all distracted and stopped reading.

I can totally see that as being a favourite fictional work, if I had the patience to dig in.

It’s about a noble who reads so much about chivalry romances that he loses his mind and tries to become a knight-errant. Hijinx everywhere.

My favorite book used to be Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick.

I still love that book.

But I think my current favorite book is “All I Need to Know About Filmmaking I learned From The Toxic Avenger” by Lloyd Kaufman. It’s sort of a how to manual on low budget filmmaking, mixed in with Kaufman’s memoir and humor.

It’s a very fun read. Fans of B-movies and cult cinema would love it.

The Bible is my favorite book. Also I enjoyed the Eragon series and I love reading books about pipe smoking, birds, and Shakespeare.

I don’t read books, but the best book I ever read has to be 1984 by George Orwell.

Catch 22. It’s wildly funny but has a great message about the madness of modern life and institutions. Not sure about favorite but top 10 for sure.

I’ve tried reading Catch 22 like three times in my life.

I was on a lot of meds and very young when I did try to read it.

Maybe if I read it now I would enjoy it more.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about it.

Kurt Vonnegut books sound so interesting.

Hey @Montezuma give it a go. Sarcasm is the worst type of humor unless it’s done so good like Catch 22. Amazing book. There’s still parts where I laugh out loud to and then there’s parts where you almost freak out. Worth a revisit.

Vonnegut is great!

I probably would recommend Cat’s Cradle or Slaughterhouse Five to get a taste of his writing.

I’ll try to fit them in somehow. Thanks.

Agreed. Vonnegut is top shelf. His early collection of short stories are very good. Welcome to the Monkey House. Slaughterhouse 5 is one of those books everyone should read. His early so called sci fi novels are good too.

Surely Metro 2033. It’s onpoint with the world building and the characters.
