From two spectrums of amputee and two weeks them trying to save it,id say pyhsical pain is handled by the body,if you feel pain like that your body is letting you know fox it or your going to die the end of pyshical pain,but pychological pain keeps coming back again ,so pyhcological pain is a load we have to carry,pyhisical pain is a load r body involuntarily carries,i know im a bad f on spelling contest

I haven’t had too much physical pain… I can only judge the mental pain.

I can handle a good deal of physical pain. But mental pain destroys me

I like to think that a thought and a feeling are different things.

I like to think there is a difference between mental and emotional pain.

i have had extreme pain :boom: and know of people in chronic physical pain…people who have had horrible cancer…crohns disease with complications…
even knowing what hell :fire: mental pain is…i would still choose that over physical pain.
just me saying. :neutral_face:

It is all relative…and not a competition… We don’t know whether we could walk in someone’s else shoes…
I’m afraid of cancers… There are some horribly tumors where people have to take morphium to handle the pain…there are people blind, deaf, born without extremities…lots of tragedies are everywhere… And there is always worse.

The worst part of mental pain versus physical pain may be the stigma…we mentally ill people without physical pain are stigmatized more and there isn’t as much money being put into schizophrenia as cancer research. That’s the thing i can compare.

Also, I hear of people with cancer getting the will to live, well my schizoaffective gives me the will to wanna die :crying_cat_face: but that’s probably case contingent

Mental pain is easy for me. Im very stubborn/headstrong. So im gonna say physical pain is worse

I’ve had a toothache for the past week. Trying to get in to see the dentist before Xmas. Uuuuugh.

Physical pain and Mental pain are both bad.

Its all about how much suffering one does.

In my opinion Mental pain causes as much suffering as physical pain, its just a different kind of suffering.

Whats worse than having terminal Cancer? Being schizophrenic and having Cancer - this is tough to handle.
